We’ve been gathering to worship God and support one another for over 125 years, Praise God!
Settlers of German descent who first came to this area first met in homes of the first schoolhouse to practice their faith. After breaking away from the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, they were offered the upstairs of the store of John E. Roepke and Charles Meisner.
On February 6, 1892 the congregation of eight was formed the Birnamwood German Evangelical Lutheran St. Trinity Congregation. The church was then built in 1895 with the dedication service held on November 24, 1895.
Like most families we have our highs and lows, we enjoy celebrating big life events along with the small ones. We stand by one another through difficulties that come our way and try to work through the hurt we may cause one another. It’s messy but it’s life and we do it together, asking Jesus to walk with us and guide us.
Anyway, we gather at 10 AM on Sundays, up the hill from the Public Library in Birnamwood. We follow the standard weekly scripture readings (lectionary) and the church calendar. You’ll see people who are a variety of ages and in a variety of clothes. We still hold our own hymnals as we praise God and ask for mercy.
If you don’t have a church family, let’s worship together and get to know one another. Whether you’ve “fallen away” from church, never went to church but talk to God, or maybe have never felt the need for either in the past but now may wonder if there’s something bigger at work…. let’s try to figure it out together. All are welcome!

On March 1st, 2020 Trinity Lutheran Church joined The United Lutheran Parish.
WORSHIP
~Services are held each Sunday at 10:00am.
~Holy Communion is celebrated as often as we can, currently on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
~In addition, there are special services as appropriate in the church calendar.
EDUCATION
~Trinity provide educational opportunities for all ages. Check the church bulletin, newsletter, and the Facebook page for the current offerings.
